United Animal Health manufactures phytase enzymes for use in animal feed. Compared with other phytase products, its formulation releases a higher proportion of phosphorus from grain in poultry and swine rations. This conversion of inorganic phosphate into energy enhances feed nutrition while decreasing phosphorus runoff onto land, providing an environmental benefit. The enzyme is FDA approved.
