Romulus III‑A is a low‑to‑intermediate force range physical‑strength tester that utilizes interchangeable platforms to evaluate tensile and flexural stress‑strain behavior for comprehensive material characterization. The system supports ten distinct adherence and adhesion test methods and thirty specialized micro‑electronic procedures, among which is a diamond‑scratch module designed for DLC and other tribological coatings. A blade‑cutting adhesion fixture enables evaluation of paint, epoxy, ink, laminate and other relatively thick film applications. The Alexandra I instrumented indentor, integrated with the Romulus line, quantifies hardness, elastic modulus, yield strength and strain‑hardening response for any solid material exceeding five microns in thickness. All measurements are performed under computer‑controlled operation, delivering precise mechanical‑property data for solid substrates.
