Itasca Automation Systems, LLC designs, manufactures, imports and distributes a comprehensive range of coil‑winding equipment. The product line includes multi‑spindle winders, pin‑insertion units, fluxing and soldering stations, taping and heat‑shrinking systems, terminal insertion devices, wire‑sleeving tools and heat‑staking machines that automate the entire coil‑winding process. In addition, the company offers fine‑wire air coil winding machines, low‑temperature thermo‑compression fine‑wire welding/bonding equipment, and specialized machinery for the magnet‑wire coil‑winding sector. All machines are programmable and can be configured to wind motor rotors and stators, transformers, solenoids, ballasts, speaker coils, as well as coils for marine, medical, communications, gauge and other electronic applications. Itasca also provides engineering support services such as bobbin design, limited‑volume winding, and test‑trial runs for research‑and‑development and new‑product development projects. Moreover, the firm produces a low‑temperature diamond thermo‑compression (DTHB) unit used to weld or bond fine wire to chips in RFID, medical and communication devices.
