Accu Chrome Plating and Grinding delivers comprehensive hard‑chrome plating and precision grinding capabilities. The operation holds ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certifications, underscoring its commitment to quality and aerospace standards. The workflow encompasses an extensive sequence of steps: initial inspection, chrome removal, preliminary grinding, stress‑relief treatment, pre‑polishing, application of hard chrome, hydrogen‑embrittlement mitigation, followed by a second inspection and cleaning specific to precision grinding, then masking, etching, and concluding with final polishing and finishing. Machining capacity is supported by between‑center O.D. grinders that can handle workpieces up to 72 in. in diameter with a 20 in. swing, complemented by diamond and surface grinding systems. In addition, the shop operates smaller‑scale and centerless grinders that service centerless, internal (ID) and external (OD) grinding requirements. A broad spectrum of substrates is accepted, including low‑ and high‑carbon steels, mild steel, cast iron, every grade of stainless steel, brass, copper, and virtually any other metal, even those that have been heat‑treated. All chrome coatings conform to recognized specifications such as AMS 2460 and AMS QQC320.
