Standard Steel Specialty Co. produces elevator guide rails, gear racks, machine‑Woodruff keys and turned pins. The guide rail line offers seven standard sizes and can be custom‑machined for applications outside of elevators that demand precise linear motion. Gear racks are fabricated up to a 31‑3/4‑inch face width with a 1/2‑DP pitch and meet AGMA Class 11 specifications; they can undergo drilling, milling, shaping, turning and heat‑treating according to customer requirements. Both the guide rails and gear racks are stocked in a wide range of commonly used dimensions. Machine‑Woodruff keys and turned pins are manufactured to comply with ANSI B17.1, ANSI B17.2 and ASA B5.20 standards, and they are also available from inventory in numerous sizes.
