Mitts & Merrill L.P. designs and manufactures precision electro‑mechanical keyseating, slotting and broaching equipment while also offering contract manufacturing of tooling and cutters. The broaching portfolio includes internal vertical machines for profile machining, internal vertical machines dedicated to keyway machining, fully automatic internal broaching units, and automatic broaching systems equipped with two stations and integrated handling mechanisms. Keyseating solutions are supplied with either automatic or manual indexing tables, PC‑based controls, and both vertical and horizontal movable centering bridges, complemented by chip‑conveying systems. Slotting machines feature a self‑centering tool capable of producing keyways from 2 mm to 32 mm in width with a maximum length of 400 mm. In addition, specialized equipment is available for cutting grooves in cylinder crankcases. A broad range of tooling, cutters and related parts is stocked; tooling items comprise bushings, metal clamps and cutter‑grinding fixtures. Core capabilities encompass CNC machining, turning, grinding, milling, contract manufacturing, three‑dimensional programming, three‑dimensional machining and sawing of aluminum, stainless steel and plastic components.
