Its process creates fully cross‑sectional, porosity‑free joints through a low‑temperature solid‑state technique that avoids melting, thereby preserving material properties and microstructure while limiting the heat‑affected zone. Resulting welds retain the full strength of the parent material and can be produced from forging‑ or casting‑like blanks without minimum order requirements. NCT Friction Welding can join components of differing diameters and operates ten machines with capacities ranging from 6 to 150 tons.
