Rex Forge Div., The J. J. Ryan Corp. provides custom closed‑die and upset forging services, handling workpieces from under one pound up to 100 lb. The product portfolio includes drop, machined, hammered and coin‑pressed forgings, as well as specialty marine, military‑specification, automotive and petrochemical valve components. In‑house secondary operations such as restriking, punching, coining, cleaning and magnaflux inspection are offered, and heat‑treating capabilities are available on demand. The division works with carbon steel, alloy steel, micro‑alloys, stainless steel and aluminum, forging each material to comply with ASTM, ASME, Mil specifications and a variety of customer‑defined standards. All dies and related tooling are designed and fabricated entirely within the company using CAD, CNC and EDM technologies. Primary markets served encompass light‑ and heavy‑duty trucks, automotive and off‑highway equipment (both OEM and aftermarket), valves and fittings, mining and construction, ordnance, electrical transmission and scaffolding applications. Quality and environmental management systems are certified to TS 16949:2002, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001.
