Acmetex Inc. produces high‑temperature textile solutions, including fire blankets and welding curtains. Its fire‑ and welding‑blanket line is offered in a variety of constructions: standard fiberglass cloth, PTFE‑impregnated fiberglass, vermiculite‑filled fiberglass, acrylic‑coated fiberglass, golden‑glass‑coated fiberglass, silicone‑coated fiberglass, and pure silica cloth. In addition, Acmetex supplies fiberglass and silica ropes, sleeves and tapes, and provides high‑temperature sewing components such as PTFE‑coated fiberglass thread, PTFE‑coated quartz thread, PTFE‑coated Kevlar® thread, stainless‑steel thread and bonded Nomex® thread. These materials address applications that demand heat‑resistant containment, removable insulation covers, high‑temperature insulation and chemical resistance, particularly for PTFE‑fiberglass sheets. All threads are PTFE‑coated, and the product portfolio is rated for continuous service from 1,000 °F up to 2,000 °F.
