Snap Action, Inc. designs and manufactures thermal and resettable circuit breakers capable of handling normal operation, start‑up conditions, and short‑duration surge events. The breakers provide accurately timed trips, can be configured for manual or automatic reset, and are built to resist shock and vibration while incorporating temperature‑compensated bi‑metal elements. Current ratings range from 2.5 A (without an auxiliary heater) up to 40 A. Automotive‑grade breakers feature a bimetallic element architecture and include fail‑safe mechanisms. The company’s fuse line employs snap‑action sensors that increase contact pressure to initiate a trip, delivering a precise relationship between trip time and rating. These fuses also endure normal start‑up currents and brief surge conditions, tolerate vibration and shock, and are housed in non‑corrosive plastic enclosures. Available mounting options encompass snap‑in, bushing, printed‑circuit‑board, and fuse‑clip configurations. All products comply with UL, CSA, TUV, Semko and VDE certification requirements.
