Midwest Optical Systems, Inc. (MidOpt) designs and manufactures mounted optical filters and related accessories while also supplying lenses for machine‑vision platforms. Its product line supports a range of imaging technologies such as CCD and CMOS cameras, monochromatic, white and colored LED sources, fiber‑optic illumination, and structured diode‑generated light patterns, among other uses. The filters are engineered to transmit more than 90 percent of the target wavelengths and are offered in configurations that include color band‑pass, infrared dichroic long‑pass, infrared band‑pass, infrared block, ultraviolet band‑pass, ultraviolet block, neutral‑density, polarizing and light‑balancing types. Available diameters span from 12 mm up to M105, and each filter is mounted in threaded, anodized, laser‑etched aluminum housings that are non‑hygroscopic and resistant to cleaning agents, solvents, heat, humidity and vibration. MidOpt provides custom services such as drilling, edging, shaping and assembly. Additional offerings comprise filter kits, bespoke optics, slip mounts, step‑up and step‑down rings, rotating right‑angle adapters, optics cleaning kits, as well as hot and cold mirrors. All products meet RoHS compliance.
