Appalachian Foundry manufactures custom wear‑resistant, corrosion‑resistant, abrasion‑resistant, erosion‑resistant and cavitation‑resistant castings and alloys and holds ISO 9002 certification. The foundry works with a broad palette of base metals, including iron, steel, duplex stainless steel, compacted graphite, nickel, copper‑nickel and stainless steel, and produces alloy‑steel, nodular, ductile, white and gray iron as well as Ni‑Resist castings. Its service suite spans from initial design and alloy selection through thermal and heat‑treat processes, machining, green‑sand and no‑bake molding, melting, chemical analysis, fabrication, homogenizing, normalizing, annealing, stress relieving and tempering. Appalachian Foundry supplies these capabilities to customers in mining, pulp and paper, marine, aluminum‑smelting, chemical and petrochemical sectors, and can also deliver castings that meet ASTM, AISI and SAE specifications.
