Midwest Metal Specialists, Inc., J & J Tank Div. designs and manufactures custom metal containers for intermediate bulk storage and waste handling. The division offers in‑house design services that allow each container to be tailored to specific customer requirements. All intermediate bulk containers are produced to meet DOT and UN regulations and carry HM181E Group 2 and 3 certification for the transport of hazardous materials and a variety of liquid products. Construction materials include mild steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, selected according to the intended application. A single container can replace the capacity of six standard 55‑gallon drums while using only two‑thirds of the floor space required by the drums. The units are engineered for reuse, stackability, and are leak‑tested and approved for pressures up to 29 psig. In addition, the company supplies lugger boxes and roll‑off containers specifically for the scrap metal, recycling, demolition, and remodeling markets.
