Metglas manufactures amorphous metal ribbon and a broad portfolio of related components, operating under ISO 9001:2000 certification. Its product line includes amorphous brazing foils, brazing alloys, solder foils, transformer cores, magnetic alloys, toroids, toroidal cores, common‑mode chokes, surge absorbers and saturable‑core reactors. The foils are void‑free, contain no organic binder, are homogeneous and are designed to eliminate waste. Transformer cores fabricated from the amorphous ribbon can store energy, achieve a reduced size and require fewer turns. Toroidal cores are available across a wide frequency range, diminish the need for multistage designs and contribute to weight and volume savings. Applications span EMI common‑mode filtering, telecommunications and data‑communication interface transformers, ground‑fault protection devices, aerospace, medical equipment, heat‑recycler systems, plate‑fin heat exchangers, electronics, automation and control equipment, solar and wind inverters, harmonic filters and pulse‑power cores.
