Zahn Electronics, Inc. designs and manufactures step‑down and step‑up DC/DC converters covering the 12 V to 30 V range with power ratings up to 10 kW, and all models are capable of operating from battery sources. The converters operate at a 125 kHz switching frequency and achieve efficiencies in the mid‑90 percent range while maintaining low EMI/RFI emissions. In addition, the company offers pure DC servo amplifiers for both two‑quadrant and four‑quadrant applications, as well as chopper‑type servos that deliver up to 10 HP; a compact chopper version is available that is 2.7 times smaller than standard units. Complementary product lines include DC filters, DC motor control systems, and a variety of power supplies. Zahn Electronics also supplies automatic guided steering and traction control solutions, together with fuel‑cell converters that both generate power and provide voltage or current regulation.
