PowerHold, Inc. designs and manufactures face drivers, live centers, dead centers, and a full line of work‑holding devices. Its carbide dead centers are offered in standard tolerances of 0.0001 mm and in special versions calibrated to 0.0003 mm. Spring‑loaded centers are supplied with optional pressure‑indicating colored rings, feature a female construction, and provide seven standard interchangeable tip types. Heavy‑duty live centers are available in two load‑carrying configurations: one that transfers load solely through the taper and another that adds tail‑stock‑sleeve support for additional stability. Centerpoint angles are produced in 60°, 75°, and 90° options, while bullnose live centers incorporate a cylindrical roller bearing positioned at the point of maximum load. Mechanical face drivers are equipped with vibration‑damping systems that protect driving pins from excessive wear, prolong turning‑tool life, and safeguard head‑stock bearings while safely transmitting high cutting forces. A hydraulic equalization mechanism keeps the geometric plane of the carrier teeth constant relative to the workpiece face, even when the chucking face is out of square by up to 7 mm. Finally, any disparity in centering depth is corrected by the spring‑loaded centerpoint.
