Solar Gard designs and manufactures thin‑film coatings using wide‑web, high‑speed, multicathode sputter roll coaters that operate in both passive and reactive modes. The equipment can deposit a broad variety of metals, oxides and their mixtures onto polymeric webs with a maximum width of 90 inches. Its product portfolio spans a complete line of indium‑tin‑oxide (ITO) layers for touch‑screen panels, electroluminescent lamps and flexible displays, as well as solar‑control window films, soft‑magnetic layers for security uses, photoreceptor compounds, imaging films, flexible circuit substrates, reflector films and high‑index coatings.
