Chicago Steel provides tension‑leveling of coil stock to a flatness tolerance of five I‑units or less, independent of product type, gauge, width or yield as long as operating parameters are met. The company’s service portfolio includes surface inspection, tension leveling, alkaline cleaning, electrostatic oiling, warehousing and export‑grade metal wrapping. Its plant is equipped with twenty‑one cranes, extensive rail handling capacity, dew‑point‑controlled heating systems, and a single‑stacking arrangement for all coils on dedicated cradles, with staffing available around the clock. Production capabilities cover gauges from 0.012 to 0.125 inches, widths from 20 to 73 inches, inner diameters from 20 to 24 inches, outer diameters up to 84 inches, and coil weights up to 72,000 pounds.
