Spencer‑Pettus, Inc. designs and manufactures custom gears for a range of industrial applications. The product line includes spur, helical, bevel, ring, worm and worm gears as well as internal and external splines, and metric gear formats. Customers can specify dimensions such as diametral pitch, circular pitch, pressure angle, tooth count, helix angle, set‑screw configuration, outer diameter, hub diameter, bore size, face width, overall length, and sizes that extend to ten feet. A broad selection of raw materials is offered, including cast steel, cast iron, aluminum, nylon, nylotron, carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, meehanite, ductile iron, rawhide and phenolic laminates. All parts are produced using CNC machining capabilities. In addition to new gear production, Spencer‑Pettus provides repair and rebuilding services for gearboxes and bull gears. The company serves the printing, knitting and flexographic sectors and can deliver orders within a 24 hour timeframe when required.
