Johnson LHG offers abrasive finishing services that include flat lapping of parts ranging from 0.090 in. to 24 in. diameter, internal honing from 0.060 in. to 6 in. with lengths up to 18 in., and both internal and external grinding (external from 0.125 in. to 4 in. by 24 in., internal from 0.060 in. upward). The firm works with aluminum, steel, plastic, stainless steel, iron and powdered metals, and can process both cast and stamped components. A water‑based lapping compound is employed to avoid waste‑disposal issues. Johnson LHG also provides fine internal/external and flat polishing for the dairy, sanitary, food‑service and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as diamond polishing of carbon seals in limited‑quantity runs. Tooling fabrication for fixtures is available, and the operation supports short or long production runs, prototype work and full‑scale manufacturing.
