Cordem Corp. designs and builds power winches that weigh 38 lb and can pull up to 15,000 lb on a 5 percent grade. Each unit incorporates an anti‑stacking drum that holds up to 512 ft of cable, a self‑locking, double‑reduction worm‑gear drive, and a patented electrical braking system. Operators benefit from precise start/stop remote controls, ball and roller bearings housed in a sealed oil bath, and the option of additional remote‑control accessories. The product line comprises eight models available in 115 V or 230 V AC configurations. Cordem’s winches serve a range of sectors, including manufacturing, construction, processing, electronics and research, plant operations, elevators, silos, and theater applications.
