Quake Defense, Inc., Emergency Fail‑Safe Systems designs and manufactures patented Emergency Fail‑Safe (EFS) solutions. The product line is offered in pneumatic, AC or DC configurations and incorporates seismic protection features. Each EFS unit carries UL listing and recognition under file No. SA7319, and it meets certification requirements of the California State Architect as well as the City of Los Angeles for controlling gas lines ranging from 3/4 in. to 72 in. The systems are engineered to safeguard a broad spectrum of utilities, including natural gas, LPG, jet fuel, process gases, hazardous chemicals, municipal water and waste networks, reservoirs, and communication infrastructures. In addition, the company provides residential earthquake valves that are certified to ASCE 25‑97 standards.
