Vac-Met, Inc. provides metal processing services with a focus on brazing and heat treatment. The heat‑treatment portfolio includes sintering, annealing, diffusion bonding, aging and hardening operations. The company works with a broad range of base materials such as stainless steel, tool steel, alloy steel, titanium, Inconel®, Hastelloy® and waspaloy, as well as brazing alloys comprising nickel, gold‑nickel, silver and copper. Processing is supported by fluoride‑ion cleaning technology, metallographic equipment and both vacuum and atmospheric furnaces that accommodate various load capacities. Argon, nitrogen, hydrogen and helium are available as process gases.
