Fraba Posital designs and produces optical absolute rotary encoders that are available in single‑turn, multi‑turn and programmable configurations. The encoders support a range of communication options, including Bit Parallel and SSI, as well as field‑bus protocols such as DeviceNet, Profibus, CANBus and Interbus. Key hardware attributes comprise a shafted design, a 58 mm housing constructed from stainless steel or aluminum, and a resolution capability up to 13 bits per revolution (with a standard option of 12 bits per revolution). In addition to encoders, Fraba Posital manufactures opto‑electronic and pneumatic pressure safety edges used on doors, gates, material‑handling equipment and machinery guarding systems. All products meet UL 325, UL 508 and the European DIN 1760 safety standards.
