Daily Systems, LLC designs and manufactures the iPod/iPhone Sled, a mobile point‑of‑sale solution that pairs with any iPod Touch or iPhone to process transactions wherever business occurs. The unit incorporates a built‑in receipt printer capable of producing receipts, tickets, coupons and similar documents for customers after a purchase. A magnetic stripe reader encrypts card data at the moment of swipe, ensuring that no payment information is retained on the device. Additional capabilities include a barcode scanner that reads both 1D and 2D codes—such as QR codes—to capture merchandise, coupons, gift cards and package identifiers, as well as a smart card reader that securely reads credit and debit cards, identification cards, transit passes and other smart cards.
