Lew-El Tool & Manufacturing Co. designs and produces both standard and custom flat‑spiral torsion springs, recoil springs, stampings, wire forms, as well as tools and dies. Its flat‑spiral torsion spring line includes power, brush‑holder and motor variants, while its recoil offerings cover counter‑balance and power/clock springs. Customers apply the stampings and springs in applications ranging from surgical instruments and refrigeration valves to electric motors, hospital beds, machine guns, safety apparel, aircraft engines, clothes washers and automatic strapping machines. The firm’s in‑house manufacturing suite encompasses fabrication, reaming, tapping, light deburring, bending, punching, coining, swedging, drilling, machining, spot welding, notching, annealing, riveting, plus comprehensive inspection and testing. Complementary processes such as plating, heat treating, passivating, painting, heavy deburring, coating and laser‑cut prototyping are also provided. Lew-El serves OEM, military, aerospace, automotive, medical and electronics markets, and all products are manufactured to meet applicable Military specifications.
