OMC Die Casting Div., Outboard Marine Corp. manufactures aluminum cast components through a suite of techniques that include conventional high‑pressure die casting, high‑pressure vacuum die casting, a high‑integrity process, and high‑pressure solution‑heat‑treated vacuum die casting—the latter delivering parts that are approximately 30 % stronger than standard die‑cast products. The division’s equipment can handle individual pieces weighing as much as 50 lb and covering surface areas up to 500 sq in.
