SSS Clutch Company Inc manufactures a broad portfolio of automatic, overrunning, freewheel and gear‑type clutches covering power ratings from 100 HP up to 400 000 HP. The product line is engineered for high‑power, high‑speed environments and is employed in naval and marine main propulsion systems, co‑generation units, dual‑driven compressors, generators, fans, pumps, as well as utility and synchronous condensing duty applications such as spinning reserve, turning gear and starting clutches. The company’s largest clutch can transmit 300 MW at 3 000 RPM, while its highest‑torque model delivers 4 MN·m at 600 RPM. Primary customers include manufacturers of turbines, large industrial and marine gearboxes, pumps, compressors, fans and generators.
