E‑Z Lok manufactures a broad portfolio of solid‑construction thread inserts designed for metal, plastic and wood applications. The company also supplies pre‑packaged repair kits, soft‑jaw fixtures, a metal‑working layout tool that achieves .001‑inch accuracy, and a hole‑center punching tool with .002‑inch precision. All of the inserts can be installed without the need for special tools, and their external threads conform to standard sizes and pitches, allowing the use of conventional drills and taps. During installation, a micro‑encapsulated adhesive activates, creating a seal that resists liquids and gases at pressures up to 6,000 psi. When removal is required, the inserts can be extracted using a standard screw or bolt extractor.
