Its capabilities cover grinding of pins and pivots with a minimum length of 0.200 in. and a minimum diameter of 0.020 in.; spheres to a tolerance of 0.000030 in.; probes featuring tapers from 0.125 in. down to 0.010 in.; and valves with roundness control to 0.000020 in. The shop can handle parts up to 11.8 in. in diameter and 40 in. in length, produce tapers as fine as 0.000050 in., and maintain repeatability and accuracy within ±0.00002 in.
