U.S. Silica Company manufactures round, angular and sub‑angular whole‑grain sands and supplies ground silica products, including micronized silica and a variety of clay minerals such as calcined and hydrous kaolin clays. These materials are employed in the production of container glass and flat glass, as well as in insulation and textile fiberglass. In the foundry industry they are used for casting molds and cores, while construction markets incorporate them into cements, asphalt compounds and grouts. Additional applications span ceramics, paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, mastics, plastics, elastomers, landscaping, golf‑course sand traps and other filler or extender roles for consumer, industrial and environmental products.
