Company record
Phygen Coatings, Inc. delivers hard, low‑temperature physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings—including CrN, AlTiN and TiN—targeted at stamping, metal forming, wear components, die casting, plastic injection molds and cutting tools. By employing a plasma‑arc acceleration technique, the company achieves PVD layers with superior adhesion, hardness and density, which translate into extended wear life and improved performance in galling, fretting and seizing scenarios. The process yields a coating structure with fewer inclusions and greater density, enhancing both lubricity and release characteristics. Although the results rival those of high‑temperature methods such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or thermal diffusion (TD), Phygen Coatings operates at roughly half the temperature required for those processes. All products are FDA approved. Dedicated engineering and production teams collaborate with customers to design custom solutions based on specific application parameters. In addition to coating application, the firm offers surface finishing, preparation services and advanced material
