Grinnell Mechanical Products, By Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products manufactures ISO 9001:2000 certified grooved piping components, including couplings, fittings, grooved, check and butterfly valves, suction diffusers, and strainers. The couplings are engineered to be rotated, removed, or added to accommodate required system modifications and can sustain pressures up to 75 PSIG while providing a rigid joint by gripping the pipe’s circumferential grooves. The fittings employ a steel‑to‑plastic construction that creates a dielectric waterway, thereby separating dissimilar metals and preventing localized galvanic corrosion. Valves are offered for on/off, throttling, and balancing applications, delivering fluid control and bubble‑tight shut‑off in piping networks. They are available with gear operators for sizes ranging from 2 in. to 12 in. and with lever‑lock operators for the same size range.
