Magnetic Instrumentation Inc. designs and builds a full line of magnetic measurement hardware, including hysteresigraphs, search coils, temperature stages, calibration standards, coercimeters, Helmholtz coils, electromagnets and bespoke magnetic test systems. In addition, the firm delivers magnetic testing services and quality‑control programs that comply with ASTM and other industry specifications for both permanent magnets and soft magnetic materials. For permanent‑magnet applications, its computer‑automated hysteresigraph records B and B‑H versus H curves across a broad temperature range, evaluates reversible and irreversible flux loss, and determines temperature coefficients for flux and coercivity. When assessing soft magnetic materials—whether DC or AC—the equipment measures B versus H, permeability, saturation magnetization, coercive force and core loss.
