Birk Manufacturing Inc. designs and produces custom silicone‑rubber and Kapton® insulated heating elements that meet specific customer requirements. The elements are characterized by their thin, lightweight and flexible construction and can be laminated directly to platens or heat sinks, where they are secured with adhesive or snap‑fit connections. Depending on the application, Birk offers either etched‑foil or wire‑based heating elements capable of operating at temperatures up to 550 °F. The company also provides just‑in‑time (JIT) and material‑requirements‑planning (MRP) expertise, delivering fully assembled sub‑systems that incorporate platens, heaters, thermostats, wiring harnesses with connectors, thermal fuses, and molded cords or lead wires finished with silicone or wire‑braid jackets. Strip heaters are available in round, square or die‑cut configurations, allowing any shape to be produced. Birk’s product portfolio serves a range of sectors, including industrial equipment, aerospace, medical devices, food‑processing machinery and any application that requires precise thermal enhancement.
