Company record
Progress for Industry, Inc. provides precision metal‑finishing services focused on mold and tool‑die components. The facility offers a full suite of plating and surface‑treatment processes, including electroless nickel without cadmium or lead that meets RoHS requirements, and low‑, medium‑ and high‑phosphorous nickel options. Proprietary Dura Slick, a nickel‑based coating engineered for a low coefficient of friction, is available alongside nickel‑PTFE and nickel‑boron nitride finishes. Anodizing capabilities cover type III hard‑coat and type II in any color, while chromate conversion, bright and dull tin plating, chrome impregnation, industrial hard chrome, electropolishing, and zinc plating with stainless‑steel passivation are also provided. Vapor blasting and glass‑bead peening complement the plating portfolio, and all processes can be executed to government and military specifications. Rack‑and‑barrel plating is supported for parts up to three tons and linear lengths of eight feet, with in‑house baking ovens enabling controlled heat treatment. Selective masking allows targeted plating and repair on virtually any mold geometry; nickel buildup can restore holes as small as 0.020 in, EDM‑machined areas, bores and blind holes. The company serves a broad range of applications such as plastic and rubber molds, medical‑device molds, textile‑equipment components, military hardware and other precision parts. Materials accepted for treatment include aluminum and its alloys, copper, beryllium, Moldmax, brass, 300‑ and 400‑series stainless steels, iron castings and virtually all tool steels. Customers span the aircraft, medical, military, mining, electronic, automotive, petroleum and chemical sectors.
