Ohmsett delivers oil‑spill research and renewable‑energy testing services. The facility can simulate and measure a range of sea‑state conditions—including wave height, wavelength and period—along with water temperature, salinity, oil‑volume encountered and recovered, oil‑water ratios, viscosity and overall oil behavior. Testing can be conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments. Equipment such as booms, skimmers, sorbents, temporary storage units, pumping systems, remote‑sensing devices and dispersants are all eligible for evaluation.
