Noritake Co., Inc., Electronics Division designs and manufactures vacuum fluorescent displays (VFDs), having originated the technology. The product portfolio covers a complete range of VFDs for automotive, industrial, gaming, medical, appliance, vending and other applications, offered as standard or custom‑engineered dot‑matrix, graphic and 14‑segment modules and tubes. A substantial inventory of models is kept on hand to enable rapid shipment. The division also produces thick‑film substrates that incorporate resistors and are engineered to customer specifications, featuring multilayer or double‑sided constructions. Manufacturing capabilities include plated‑through‑hole and fine‑line printing processes, with conductor materials such as silver, palladium‑silver, platinum‑silver, copper and gold. In addition, Noritake provides custom‑fabricated ceramic components, dental porcelain products, and far‑infrared annealing furnaces for specialized industrial use.
