Atlas Metallizing Inc. converts both wide and narrow plastic films by applying pure‑aluminum vacuum metallizing followed by precise slitting and rewinding. The company conducts in‑house vacuum metallizing on a variety of substrates, including polyester, embossed holographic films, reflective vinyl/PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon, PVC, styrene, roll leaf and woven fabrics. Metallizing capabilities cover web widths from 3 in. to 68 in., film thicknesses ranging from 18 gauge to 2 000 gauge (0.00018 in. to 0.020 in.), and optical densities between 0.50 and 4.00. Slitting and rewinding operations handle widths from 1 in. to 96 in. on 3‑, 6‑, or 10‑core reels and can process multiple widths simultaneously. Served markets include reflective applications, holographic and transfer security, aerospace, paperboard lamination, flexible and rigid packaging, agricultural, microwave, product labeling, graphic arts, cryogenic insulation, balloon, hot‑stamp and medical‑care products
