Industrial Painting Specialists provides blasting and painting services for both interior and exterior surfaces of large structural steel components, including pipes, tanks and hoppers. The operation is SSPC‑QP 3 certified and can accommodate items up to 150 feet in length and 50,000 pounds in weight. For smaller parts, the firm uses a conveyor‑based line equipped with a curing oven that forces the cure of liquid paint systems; this line is rated for pieces weighing as much as 3,200 pounds, measuring up to 20 feet long, 6 feet high and 4 feet wide. Blasting media include G‑50 and G‑80 steel grit, all grades of glass bead, as well as alternative abrasives such as walnut shell, Starblast, garnet and aluminum oxide. A Panaborn automatic shotblaster handles 36‑inch‑wide flanged beams and plates up to 8 feet wide. All activities are performed within a 60,000‑square‑foot manufacturing facility.
