GT Crystal Systems, LLC produces sapphire crystals and titanium‑sapphire laser rods. Single‑crystal sapphire can be grown to diameters of up to 25 in. Titanium‑sapphire laser rods provide absorption values ranging from 0.6 /cm to 6.0 /cm. Wafer slicing is performed at rotating speeds of up to 5,000 rpm, and the company can slice rods of 2 in., 3 in., 6 in., and 8 in. diameter into wafers. The product line supports electronics, laser systems and photovoltaic applications. Served industries include aerospace, military, environmental optical systems, high‑power laser optics and precision components. All manufacturing is carried out in the United States.
