Nilco manufactures both custom and standard wood components, offering items such as guide boards, slitter boards, maple hardwood dowels, custom laminations, specialty turned products, wheel chocks, and lift supports. The company also processes plastics—including UHMW, Micarta, and nylon—providing routing, sanding, and bespoke assembly services. Wood grades supplied range from First And Seconds (FAS) and FAS One Face (F1F) to Selects, Number 1 Common, Number 2A and 2B Common, as well as Number 3A and 3B Common. The material portfolio covers oak, maple, poplar, beech, cherry, ash, pine, birch and a variety of plywoods. Nilco’s customer base spans the locomotive, mining, electrical, surveying, engineering, and steel sectors.
