Spencer Forge & Mfg. Co. delivers a comprehensive suite of metal‑forming and machining services. The company produces upset forgings using three to nine upsetters, works bar stock ranging from 1 in. to 8 in., and can finish diameters between 1½ in. and 14 in. Straightening operations are supported by a press capable of delivering up to 100 tons of force. Turning and threading are performed on 2‑axis and 4‑axis CNC turning lathes, as well as on profilers and engine lathes, complemented by a material threading machine that handles workpieces up to 20 in. × 120 in. Gear and spline work includes hobbing, taper and taper‑root hobbing, and shaving of straight‑tooth gears for material diameters up to 8 in. Spline rolling capabilities cover standard splining, crown splining, threading, and grooving on parts up to 3 in. in diameter. In addition, the facility offers multi‑spindle drilling, boring, and tapping to meet a wide range of precision machining requirements.
