Lafayette Grinding Corp. specializes in precision surface grinding and machining of large‑size plates for diverse industrial sectors. The shop operates a rotary Blanchard machine with a 130‑inch capacity, a Thompson reciprocating surface grinder measuring 44 × 80 × 206 in, a double‑disk grinder of 27 × 40 in, a cylindrical grinder sized 16 × 80 in, an internal grinder with a 30‑inch diameter, and a rotary healed‑surface grinder also 30 in. It produces ground and machined plates used in aircraft assemblies, die cutting, bolster and printer applications, laminated printed‑circuit boards, molding presses, stripper and wear plates, as well as weldments and structural components. In addition, parts cut by flame, plasma, laser or water‑jet processes are finished to blueprint tolerances on the company’s grinding equipment.
